Dear Moon Valley High School Seniors:

The Moon Valley Rocket Boosters awards 3 – 5 scholarships each year to Moon Valley seniors. Each scholarship is directed toward the student who has had a successful career at Moon Valley High School and has maintained an average grade point and does not qualify for other scholarships due to his or her overall GPA and class standing. This award is meant to give the student recognition for achievement and an opportunity to continue his or her education in the community college, university, or technical school level. These students may have made a significant turnaround in academic standing during the last two years in high school. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, request a copy of this form from the College & Career Center in room 503 sometime after March 1st.  You will need to submit three letters of recommendation from your teachers, counselor, faculty member, employer, community, or church leaders along with your completed form.

Please return your application and letters of recommendation no later than the deadline on the form.

You will need the following:

At least three (3) letters of recommendation from:
* Teachers
* Counselor
* Faculty member
* Employer
* Community leaders or
* Church leaders

* Student must have a GPA of at least 3.0
* Student's class standing does not fall in the top 15.49%
* Student has demonstrated improvement in academics in Junior and Senior years; or has
constantly demonstrated average and/or above average performance.
* Student is not or will not be receiving scholarship funds for first year in college from any other
source.
* Student application indicates financial need.
* Finalists will be contacted and reviewed by Rocket Booster Scholarship Committee members.
* Awards will be announced at the Honors and Awards Program in May.
